Lolita Dress Wishlist
Friday, March 16, 2012 @ 6:07 AM
I thought I would make a wishlist of the dresses I hope to get in the future. I think the list is a good size and most of the pieces on it are not hard to get. Some are even still available on the brand website!
So here we go, in no particular order:
Innocent World - Rose Stained Glass JSK
This is the dress that inspired the name for this blog.
I absolutely love roses so of course I was drawn to this jumperskirt for the rose print, but also the unique design and layout of the print. There have been quite a few dresses with the stained glass theme but none quite like this design from Innocent World.
I also finally have this dress on order (the short version in the bordeaux colorway). I'm just waiting for it in the mail now. I should get it by the end of next week, and I do plan on taking photos of the detail and close-ups of the print. ^_^
Innocent World - Grazia Crown JSK
This is the next absolutely gorgeous dress that I would like to own from Innocent World. The print is absolutely lovely, and I am set on getting this dress in the bordeaux colorway (although I wouldn't mind the black either).
I love the print and details all around the dress, and I adore the bottom part with the crown and tassel prints. Another thing I like about this dress is the colors in the print, the golds, the reds, the blues...everything.
Innocent World - Dollhouse JSK
PRINT! PRINT! PRINT!
This has got to be one of my favorite prints out there. How cute is the little dollhouse, and it goes all away around the dress. I love the details in the print especially the little dresses in the windows of the house. I also love the reds and pinks on the cream background of the rest of the dress. Simply perfect!
Moi-meme-Moitie - Rose Print JSK
One thing I love about Moitie dresses is the design of the dress. I think this brand makes some of the prettiest dress designs. The lace used is also quite lovely.
This particular JSK has a gorgeous rose print with beautiful lace details. And I love the material used. I really want this dress, and I've seen it pop up in second-hand shops often. I think I will go for this piece next when I can afford to get another dress. ^_^
Angelic Pretty - Fantastic Dolly JSK
Ever since this print was released, I've wanted to get my hands on it. Of course, so does everyone else it seems, haha. It's quite popular so it's hard to find especially in the red colorway which would be my ideal colorway. But I would be fine with the lavender, pink or black as well.
I absolutely love the cosmetics print, and I love polka-dots so this is perfect. This is probably the only sweet dress that I really have to have eventually. I've been keeping an eye out for it at Closet Child. I look every time I got to one of the shops.
Juliette et Justine - La fête de Saint-Valentin JSK
I was going to buy this dress a month or so ago, but decided to get something else instead so I didn't go through with getting it. I wish I had, but I will eventually order this dress.
The print is gorgeous especially with the red of the rest of the dress. It reminds me a lot of a kimono print but with very Western style pictures. I think some great coordinates can be made with this piece!
Juliette et Justine - Couronne et de la crête
And last but not least another JSK from JetJ.
I saw this dress on a blog from another shop that sells different brands, and I loved the way it was coordinated in the photos. I also got to see it more closely in those blog photos. It's such a pretty dress and the print and color are both absolutely gorgeous. I would love to have this dress in any colorway (it's available in blue and purple).
That's the end of my wishlist of dresses I would love to own. Of course, there are other dresses out there that I would buy if I saw them in a shop, and I had the money. But these are the ones that I would actively search for although many of them are still available at the brand websites. I'm just having a tough time figuring out which one I should get next. xD

Disney Sea - March 2012
Sunday, March 4, 2012 @ 2:40 AM
Yesterday was a great day!
A few friends and I decided it would be an awesome idea to use one of the days we have free to all go to Disney Sea together. A couple of us had never been, and the ones who had wanted to go again. It's not far from where we live, only about an hour and a half train ride.
Anyway, it was an amazing time. I've been to Disney in Florida and California back in the States and always had a blast going to those parks. But I must say I think I enjoyed Disney Sea even more. It may have just been the people I was with that made it that much more wonderful, haha. There weren't many rides worth standing in line for but we still had a blast.
We got there bright and early for opening and went straight to ower of Terror to get fast passes since that is the most popular attraction. The line for fast passes was quite long but went pretty quickly. Even though we were there for opening, we were only able to get fast passes for that night so you can imagine how long that line was. It was good though. We spent the day walking around, eating and riding some smaller rides. There was a lot of eating to be had too, haha. One thing that I loved about the park was the amount of popcorn in different flavors. We tried black pepper flavor, milk tear flavor, strawberry flavor, and curry flavor. They were all delicious.
I think the best part of the whole day though was the closing show at night. It was amazing! I would love to see that show again~
Oh! I forgot to mention. We came around the 10th anniversary so there were special decorations and shows for that.
I took some photos of course, but many of them came out quite blurry (at least the night shots). But I wanted to share some of them here at least. ^_^

Recent Purchases
Tuesday, February 28, 2012 @ 3:23 AM
I thought it would be appropriate to do a bit of a wardrobe post, but as I mentioned in my previous entry, my style is changing. I don't have many Classic or Gothic pieces in my lolita wardrobe. Actually, I don't have much of anything as of now. I got rid of the pieces that were too sweet for me and only kept a couple of dresses (and I mean a couple).
So instead of doing a wardrobe post, I decided to instead make a post about recent purchases. These were made this year or the end of last year. It's not much, but it's a start. In the future, I'll do a proper wardrobe post to show my dresses and other accessories as well. But for now, this will do!
The first purchase I would like to talk about is this absolutely gorgeous necklace from PUTUMAYO. I really like PUTUMAYO especially the little shop front they have in Harajuku (the actual shop not the ones that you find in malls here). It's so lovely like a doll house inside. I love the atmosphere of that shop so I love going there. Anyway, back the necklace, it's the pink version of their violin necklace. I love that you can see through it and inside the violin are little lace flowers and music notes.
I think PUTUMAYO accessories are some of my favorite accessories for lolita. They have a lot of very cute themes with animals, roses, instruments, etc. ^^
This is the next purchase I want to talk about. It is also from PUTUMAYO. I had to have this bag when I first saw it. I saw it a couple of months before Christmas at the shop in Marui One, but at the time I had already made some large purchases so I didn't have much extra spending money. But once Christmas hit, this was one of the first things I looked for again.
Everything about this bag screams me. It's pink. It sparkles. There are cats, crowns and butterflies printed on it. Basically it has most of the things I love. I love anything that sparkles. Let's just say I'm attracted to shiny objects, haha! All in all, this bag is cute, sturdy and very big. It's perfect!
The final purchase I will talk about is a Baby, the Stars Shine Bright lucky bag I got around Christmas time. I decided to head the the Baby store while I was at Marui One, and the shop girls were just packing up and putting these lucky bags out on display. They were very cheap, only 8000yen! That's a steal for what you get inside.
I was extremely happy to get all black items. I got a pair of black bloomers, a black petticoat, and some socks. I really needed a black petticoat as the only one I have is white. As for the bloomers, it was nice to get a dark pair as I only had a pink pair at the time. And I'm always happy to get cute socks. I think I have more socks than anything else. xD
These are the purchases I made in the past few months. Like I said, it isn't much, but I'm very happy with what I got. I'm hoping to get a new dress by the end of next month. I know exactly the dress I want, and it will be my first Classic piece as well.
That's all for now!

Introduction to Rose Stained Glass
Monday, February 27, 2012 @ 9:13 PM
I've decided to make this blog separate from my BJD blog (which you can find a link to in the sidebar).
Basically this blog will be about everything in my life that isn't ball-jointed doll related. Although lolita fashion will most likely be the focal point of the blog. Here I will post about lolita fashion, my favorite brands/pieces/etc., random lolita related ramblings as well as music and fun things I do.
Now, I want to say a few things about me. My name is Ali (but I go by Miku online and among certain groups of friends off the internet). I'm 24 years old, and I'm currently living and working in Chiba, Japan. I enjoy my life and my job here and plan to stay for a long while.
I love lolita fashion if that wasn't obvious enough. My favorite brands are Juliette et Justine and Moi Meme Moitie (and Angelic Pretty since they were the first brand I fell in love with, although my style has changed since I started). A few months ago, I probably would have said that my favorite style of lolita is Sweet, but recently I've made a turn towards Classic. Most of my future pieces will most likely lean towards the Classic and/or Gothic side. As I get older, I notice my tastes are shifting towards more mature looks and styles within the fashion.
Some of my other interests include visual kei. I've been part of the visual kei fanbase for a long, long while (for a good 8-9 years), and I still enjoy the music now. I also enjoy other Japanese rock/indie bands and a bit of J-pop here and there. ^_^
If you follow my BJD blog, you'll know that I love asian ball-jointed dolls and have quite a nice sized collection (and it's still growing). I'm also very interested in photography. I'm no professional but it is a big hobby of mine.
I think that's all I'll write for now. Please feel free to use the link in my sidebar to link back to my blog if you'd like~
